What to do with rabbit during construction

Hi,
Construction starts on our house soon. Our rabbit lives/roams in our backyard. His 'safe haven' is under our deck, but we are trying to figure out what to do with him once the workers come.

We have movable metal fencing, maybe extends 5'×5', but we'd have to cover the top because he'll jump out. We just don't want him to escape the yard with workers coming in and out.

Do you think this is a secure solution? I'd want to let him out after they're gone so he can run about, but I'm just worried he'll be stressed out and of course mad at us for caging him!
