safe way to clean carpets when you have house bunnies

hello there everyone.
We have two free range bonded bunnies...the boy is totally house trained so he gets full range of the house when we are home.

The problem is I have discovered I have carpet moths and they have eaten big patches of carpet in corners of rooms! I initially thought it was the bunnies digging but no. I don't know how to get rid of them as everything will surely be toxic to our kids- bunnies.

What do other people do for cleaning? i have tried fly spray in 2 rooms that they don't go in but the moths are still fluttering around.
