Please help identify this oldie!

Hello everyone
I was asked to take in this rabbit just to look after for a few weeks whilst the owner looked for alternative accomodation as they were unable to keep him where they were. I was told he was an adult. That was 10 years ago! He is so sweet natured and follows you around the garden during dusk staying really close to your feet. He never struggles when you pick him up and loves attention! His coat is so so soft and very fine. I'd say he is an average sized rabbit, not small dwarf sized. I would really like to know what sort of rabbit he is if anyone could please help. He is gorgeous.
