Baby rabbit passed away after bringing to new home

We bought two eight week old lop eared rabbits from a breeder and 36 hours later the little female rabbit had died.
It looked like she had diarrhea during the night. I have tried contacting the breeder but she isn't responding. Does she have a duty of care as I had only just bought the rabbit? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
