Advice needed! Rabbits acting strange!

Hi
We’ve got a male dwarf lop, nearly 5 months. and a female lop, nearly 6 months. They did get on great and we’re forever cuddling up to each other and such.

Recently the male tried to mount the female but we’ve now got them separate unless they are under supervision. We have spoken with the vet about getting the male neutered but he’s unfortunately undeveloped yet. I’ve now noticed that they will still interact with each other for cuddles and grooming but the male seems to bow down to the female and if she goes to sniff his bum he will sprint off. Anyone help with what might be happening?
